Would love to learn tacks, 360s and jumps

btw, is it possible to jump with a large surf foil or does one need a faster one? (kite foil?)

My only goal is being able to get back on the water this year , hoping that the water ban that will be enforced for much longer than the actual lockdown will not last past 2020

BW plus 20 L.  I am a very early beginner but it is fun to think about the next board.  As a kite foiler, I have experienced the riding benefits of smaller boards.  I am hoping my second wing board can be BW plus zero L.

That should definitely be doable.  I think most people can actually go down to Body weight minus 20, as long as the wind is good.

Sooooo many foiling goals, but my top 5 for my local area at the moment are:
1. Master flat water pumping
2. Master downwind wing foiling (would also be downwinding with paddle but limited by conditions where I am)
3. Learn to waterstart with a 40 ltr board and wind wing
4. Pumping to connect as many waves as possible (see youtube video called 'Next level foiling' featuring Derek Hama!!!!!!)
5. Perfect foot changes on both sides, before and after gybes

Existing kit - GoFoil Maliko 280, 200 & IWA. (Will be upgrading to GL series as soon as the lockdown is over). Naish Hover 125 ltr 6'5" (upgrading to Jimmy Lewis Flying V 5'11 ASAP). Wind wings: 7m Gong, 5.3m s25 (ordered but not received yet) & 4m Takuma.

Progress before lockdown:
1. From a dock start I can go about 100 meters. Beginning to turn back to the boat. Using a modified wakefoil board for this - about 10 ltrs and 3'11"
2. Starting to connect bumps and beginning to luff the wing. LOVING IT!!!!!!
3. Had one go with my modified wakesurf board (10 ltrs) before the lockdown. Could balance ok just didn't have enough wind to get up.
4. Haven't had suitable waves here to try yet.
5. Could only get 1 or 2 nailed each session, but my last session before lockdown I suddenly got 50%. Another case of can't can't can't - bloody hell I can!!!!!!!!

If I ever get to go on holiday ever again  ;) my priorities are waves, tow ins and downwind runs

Hi everyone,

At the moment most of us are in lockdown and cannot get to the water, but sooner or later it will be over and we can get riding again.

What are your wing goals for 2020 when you can get back on the water?

Here is my list:

1) Perfect the race tack (foot switch during the tack) on both sides

2) Strapless Arials off the lip

3) learn to Waterstart a 20L board

4) Hang ten

What do your list? Let's discuss,
