Gunnar,

I’m using my 790 more for winging now than the 1100 unless it’s super light. What’s the next Moses front wing as a step down from the 790.

Mike

Hi Mike.

The next step down would be wither the 633 or 679.  Or alternatively the W1000

Hi James,

It will work.  You don't tend to notice the mast flex unless you have ridden it with a stiffer mast first.  You might have some difficulties during gybes etc. but for starting it will be ok.

Hi Max,

The extra Flex makes the foil a bit unstable in manuvers, hence making the gybes etc a bit more tricky.

hi Gunnar . . . is the difficulty with gybes related to the 91cm mast being not stiff enough or just that James said that he was still working on gybes?

I am in same boat as James . . . though I can gybe and tack on a foil.

I already have the 679, 633 and 720 but only the 91cm mast and was hoping to get away with just adding a bigger wing like the W1100 for winging without the added expense of getting the 82cm mast.

Hi!

I have a Moses Onda 633/483/91 that I use for kiting. I’d like to try wing foiling but I don’t want to spend a lot of money or acquire too much gear in case I don’t like it and need to sell it. I live in a small apartment too, so the less stuff the better.

I’m thinking of just buying the Moses 1100 front wing, and a cheap board and maybe an Ozone Wasp 5m.

I know the 91 mast is not the stiffest, but would it be okay for learning? I’m not a good kite foiler, still working on gybes.

Thanks!
James

Here's the Onda in action with the 1100 wing.  It shouldn't take you long to surpass B. Muller!
